June 2025 - Paediatric Critical Care Unit ‘A Time to Remember ‘ Event

Felicity Mitchell Bereavement and Family Liaison Nurse on PCCU applied for a grant to support their annual Remembrance Day. Friends have supported for the past 2 years. The event is held outside and was a big success this year for the  bereaved families attending. This year 4 bereaved children also attended and they loved all the activities and being able to play and run in the forest area. The parents spoke about how important the day is for them and how much they needed the space to talk about their children who have died and feel heard. The flower crowns on the trees were made by some of the parents who attended.
