London 10km Run 13th July 2025
There were ten runners/walkers taking part for the Friends of the RLH in the Saucony London 10k on Sunday 13 th July, our best team entry for several years. Let’s aim to have even more in 2026!
After a series of very hot days, fortunately race day started relatively cool, but it wasn’t long before
the cloud burned off and the heat and humidity rose to an uncomfortable level by the end of the
run. But the atmosphere around the crowded course was upbeat and supportive, with several live
music groups, and lots of roadside well-wishers cheering us on, which made it easier to complete the course and still feel human! Some of the younger runners put in impressive times, while the older generation were just happy to get round the course in one piece and cross the finishing line!
As of the date of writing this report, a total of £5,323 has been raised from the many sponsors who
donated so very generously to the Friends. Many thanks and congratulations to the runners, walkers and donors/supporters for making the event such an unqualified success.
Participants were: Tom Kopelman, Vaclav Prusa, David Johnstone, Shreeraj Laturia, Imogen Davies,
Noah Jankel, Chris Waters, Grace Waters, Annabelle Waters and Richard Gardner.
